Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey Tautou is an eldest child in a family of four. Her parents, a dentist and a teacher recognised and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre as early as she was a child. This superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist thanks to her passion for monkeys. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was swift and marked by her early successes. Following her graduation She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a professional career as an actor. Tautou was raised in a Catholic home, and was a member of the church, even though she attended school within the Institut Catholique de Paris. As well as her acting profession, she pursued a modeling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting profession she also has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some photos during the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Her photographs focuses primarily on celebrity and fame. Cameras are focused on journalists who examined her during her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her debut role as a lead character in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai the box office and was recognized at award ceremonies across the globe. It is the most successful French language film in the US. In the following year, she appeared in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
