Eve Maughan is a daughter of Trevor Eve, an actor who was an actor from London England. Jack and George are her brothers. They have been raised in both the United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She was educated at Bedales School then Westminster School London for her A Levels. After a gap year, she attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse before studying English at St Catherine's College Oxford. She appeared in the student productions of An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was staged to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and The Colour of Justice while at Oxford. Eve is a regular on TV in BBC's The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking along with the film Stage Beauty (2005). Eve was a key character as a co-star in Starter for 10 (with her co-star Simon Pegg speaking with an American accent) as well as Big Nothing (2006). She spent the early part of the year in India developing the drama mini-series The Losing Gemma which focused on backpackers. Eve played the role of Trevor Nunn in two stage productions. In 2006 she appeared on stage in Rock n Roll a new show by Tom Stoppard at the Royal Court Theatre and reprised her role in 2007's Broadway transfer. The performance earned her an award for the top supporting actress at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers Choice Awards. In 2009, she played Roxane in the Chichester Festival Theatre's production. Her parents were Indo British with British descendant Anthony Mitra & an Irish born mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra has an elder as well as a younger sibling. Jason Mitra was her father. Her younger brother Guyan Mitra, is a renowned travel journalist whose work has been featured in Lonely Planet as well as The Sunday Times.
